This is my ode to the great Loire Valley Chenin Blancs that speak of its terroir. Planted on Wamba Wamba Land in 1996 and tended by the Flanagan family, who are 2nd generation grape growers from Swan Hill Victoria, this vineyard thrives in the rich, ancient Miocene clay, sandy loam and limestone soils. This wine receives the Rolls-Royce treatment with barrel fermentation and 10 months of aging in new and old large-format oak.

“Chenin Blanc from Swan Hill in Victoria. Wild fermented, matured in barrels. These wines are great.
Textural white wine of refreshment and interest. Scents of lime, ginger, tonic water, similar flavours, soft texture yet bitey and tart, saline to finish. Kind of squeaky in a way too, in the most pleasing sense. A touch of almond nuttiness, almost halva-like, in the mix. Such a delight here." Mike Bennie The Wine Front
